Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Jubilee Outreach Ministries based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
There is only One True God—revealed in three Persons – the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17)
Jesus Christ
We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s Son, Jesus was both human and divine. (Matthew 3:16-17)
The Bible
Scripture of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired Word of God, presenting to us the complete revelation of God’s will for the redemption of mankind, and constituting the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. (II Timothy. 3:16, II Peter 1:21)
Fall Of Man
Man was created in the image of God and was originally good, man willingly fell into sin—ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world. (Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23)
Salvation
It is made possible through the obedience of Jesus Christ on the cross. A person can have restored fellowship with God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ through God’s grace. (John 3:16)
Sanctification
Sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers become more Christlike. (II Corinthians 3:18, II Peter 3:18, I Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 12:14)
Water Baptism
Water baptism is by immersion and is a direct commandment of the Lord for all believers. The ordinance is symbolic of our identification with Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12)
Baptism In The Holy Spirit
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a free gift of God following salvation that empowers believers – a gift from God available to all believers. The initial sign of which is speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. (John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4)
The Church
We believe “the Church” is the Body of Christ and consists of people who have accepted God’s offer of redemption through Jesus Christ.
Lord's Supper
The presence and power of God is revealed in communion. The partaking of the bread and the cup by the church as a continuing memorial of the broken body and shed blood of Christ. We neither believe transubstantiation, nor consubstantiation, but believe the Lord is in the communion in a real and personal way being received by the believers. (I Corinthians 11:27)
Marriage
We believe in the sacredness of marriage as established in scripture. God created marriage and the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2-3; I Corinthians 7:10-11; Ephesians 5:22-33)
Sanctity Of Human Life
God determines the boundaries of life and holds in His hands the two fragile ends of human experience. He is active in the conception of life and the conclusion of life, in birth and in death. This truth imparts extraordinary value to every life, independent of gender, race, socioeconomic position, age, or health status. Those who hold to biblical creation must attach great worth to human life and will stand in its defense. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13,15; I Corinthians 6:19-20)
Divine Healing
Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for all Christians today and an integral part of the gospel. (Acts 4:30; Rom. 8:11; I Corinthians 12:9; James 5:1).
Tithe
We believe in the Tithe (the first ten percent of our income) that belongs to the Lord, offerings that are given willingly, and alms that are given to the poor. We believe prosperity is the will of God for every believer and always to be associated with God's purpose (Deuteronomy 8:18; 2 Corinthians 8:9; 9:6-15).
The Rapture
This blessed hope is when Jesus raptures His Church prior to His return to earth (the Second Coming). The visible return of Christ and a literal catching away of the church to meet the Lord in the air. (II Thessalonians 2:7, I Thessalonians 4:16-17)
